Announcing the winners of our Songwriting Contest!

We are excited to announce the winners of our Songwriting Competition! Over 60 entries were received from songwriters locally, nationally, and internationally.

The winning song is an upbeat power pop tune called “GO!” written by Lisa McEwen, a Nashville-published songwriter and recording artist and Michael Logen, a Grammy-nominated songwriter and recording artist.

“Original music has always been a huge part of what makes KW Glee unique,” says Artistic Director Amanda Kind. “This song is unlike any other original song our group has done before. Its high-energy music and motivational lyrics are a great fit for what we do. It has Olivia Rodrigo and Avril Lavigne vibes, so we know the students are going to love singing it.”

KW Glee will premiere the winning song “GO!” at their concerts on May 21 & 22 at the Centre In The Square in Kitchener. Tickets are on sale now. For more details, please visit: https://centreinthesquare.com/event/kw-glee-live/
