ABOUT
KW Glee offers a comprehensive vocal performance training program for students ages 9 to 13 (Junior) and 14 to 20 (Senior) culminating in a combined high-quality concert series with microphones, audio, lighting, choreography, harmony, and a professional live band. Students audition to participate in these groups. Students who may not be quite ready to participate in the Junior and Senior groups are placed in the development classes to hone their skills for future terms.
COMMITMENT
Make sure you have read the full term schedule and commitment below before submitting an audition. Participants are permitted to miss up to three rehearsals only.
SENIOR SCHEDULE
Term Rehearsal Dates: Saturday, January 4 to Sunday, May 4 (14 weeks)
Rehearsal times: Saturdays 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. & Mondays from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Rehearsal Location: Emmanuel United Church, 22 Bridgeport Rd W, Waterloo, ON N2L 2Y3
Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays and Mondays on the following dates:
January 2025
Saturdays: 4, 11, 18, 25
Mondays: 6, 13, 20, 27
February 2025
Saturdays: 1, 8, 15 (off for Family Day), 22
Mondays: 3, 10, 17 (off for Family Day), 24
March 2025
Saturdays: 1, 8 (off for March Break), 15, 22, 29
Mondays: 3, 10 (off for March Break), 17, 24, 31
April 2025
Saturdays: 5, 12, 19 (off for holiday), 26
Mondays: 7, 14, 21 (off for Easter), 28
May 2025
Performances
PERFORMANCES
Show Week (Mandatory) Thursday, May 1 to Sunday, May 4
- Thursday, May 1 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Dress Rehearsal at the Humanities Theatre
- Friday, May 2 School Performance at 10:30 a.m. (called for 9:00 a.m.) and Public Performance at 7:00 p.m. (called for 5:30 p.m.)
- Saturday, May 3 Public Performances at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (called for 12:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. so there is a break between the end of the matinee at 4:30 p.m. and the call time for the evening at 6:00 p.m.)
- Sunday, May 4 Public Performances at 1:00 p.m. (called for 11:30 a.m.)
TUITION
$550
- We continue to do the best we can to make Glee affordable for everyone. We will offer payment plans and partial scholarships where possible.
- Costumes will likely need to be purchased. A “look book” is provided, and performers must have costumes that conform to those guidelines. Please have a look at photos on this site, or videos of KW Glee on YouTube to get a sense of costumes.
